Metric

We have been in Hawaii for the past week and last night we saw Metric play at The Republik in downtown Honolulu. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME… even despite the pushy, screaming high-school girls surrounding us, LOL (since when do teenagers like Metric? I feel old.).  I was really excited especially because the Republik is such a small space… such an intimate, amazing show! I’m so happy we got to see them in Hawaii – was going to buy tix at the Fox in Oakland for 3 days later but held off, would have never been this close to them anywhere else!

Anyway, I brought along my Canon G12 since DSLR’s were not allowed (but ooooh I wish I could shoot them with my REAL camera, omg). The show was GREAT, and I’m thrilled with the shots I got (thank you manual mode)!  My favorite song by far was “Gimme Sympathy” during the encore – makes me want to dig out my guitar and sing and play again… so amazing.
